Breakfast and Lunch Program

Lunch and Milk Costs

The menu will be published in the local newspaper and given by KCHI.


Dewey Lunch/Breakfast
Money for lunch and/or breakfast can be sent weekly, monthly, etc. Please put the money in an envelope, labeled with the amount, your child’s name, and teacher. These are collected and entered into the computer. Each child has a computerized lunch ticket that is scanned daily.

Please do not send soda pop or glass containers in your child's sack lunch.

Field Lunch/Breakfast
Breakfast is served daily at 7:45 a.m. - 8:05 a.m. Students eating breakfast are to eat as soon as they arrive at school. If a student rides a bus that is late, they will be allowed to eat after the designated times; however, walkers and early bus riders are not allowed to eat late. Lunch is served beginning at 11:00 a.m. for second grade and 11:40 a.m. for third grade. Teachers will not be responsible for taking care of breakfast/lunch/milk money. Also, please have your lunch box marked with your name on the outside.

If you bring your lunch, you may purchase a carton of milk for $0.30.

The collection box is on the front counter and all money is to be put in this box. Students are to put breakfast/lunch/milk money in an envelope. Please write the student's name, teacher's name, and the amount of money on the front of the envelope and deposit it in the box. If questions arise about breakfast/lunch/milk money, students and/or parents should be referred to the office.

Lunch Room Policies
Lunchroom expectations are posted in the multi-purpose room. The lunchroom supervisor is in charge of the lunchroom and students are to follow the directions of that person. Students are expected to follow these rules at lunch:

Remember, NO SODA POP OR GLASS CONTAINERS are allowed in the lunchroom.

CMS Lunch

Pop, juice, and candy machines are provided for student use during non-school hours in the breezeway near the gymnasium and in the commons. Lunch is provided for students in the cafeteria. All students are to report to the cafeteria immediately upon the teacher's dismissal to lunch. Milk and a-la-carte items are available for all students to purchase.

All CMS students receive a picture i.d. lunch card at the beginning of the school year. Students use a deposit envelope to make deposits in their account as needed for breakfast and lunch.
